Publication Process

Articles can be submitted at any time. Accepted articles are publicly announced on the Forthcoming Articles page immediately after decision and authors are encouraged to provide access to their accepted article version (using PsychArchives, a public repository affiliated with PHAIR). The final article version is added to the Current Articles list of the journal as soon as it is produced.

The PHAIR Editorial board considers for publication:

  • Empirical Papers (including registered reports, replication papers, and single or multi-study investigations)
  • Review Papers
  • Applied Papers
  • Methodological Papers
  • Comments

For further details on the different paper formats, please refer to the section Article Types. Authors should ensure that submissions conform to the detailed Author Guidelines prior to submitting. Submissions should also include all Submission Components and meet the general PsychOpen GOLD Formatting Guidelines based on the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Seventh Edition (APA Style). In addition, authors must ensure their submission manuscripts comply with PsychOpen's Guidelines on Publication Ethics. Note that submissions are subject to plagiarism screening.
